Marjorie has been a member of  the Children's Writing group for just under three years. She took over from Annie Nield as Co-Convenor of the Children's Writing group. She has now handed adminstration of the group to Alice.  She spent her teenage years in Edinburgh and her early childhood in the Far East. In fact she was born in Singapore, loves hot, sunny weather and her favourite flower is the Orchid. Her two daughters are fast growing up, one has just left the nest, so she has decided that now is the time to write, and explore all the things she wants to do. She has developed an interest in blogging and social media and over the past year has been building up a blog on Wordpress, as well as a Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr page. In her Wordpress blog there are sections dedicated to book reviews, bookish delights, writing, and photographic images as well as marketing and blogging advice for writers. Marjorie's recent blog post An Award to Give Yourself: Do What You Love explores the difficulties in getting published in a light-hearted way, and suggests the benefits of joining an excellent writer's group, Cambridge Writers! Marjorie's blog aims to be imaginative, poetic (I try, this is a new diversion for me!), helpful, inspiring, humorous and fun. Marjorie is currently considering self publishing first novel, and is in the process of writing a second novel, as well as working on a part fiction/part fact travelogue idea which she hopes to publish on her blog in the future.

Her blog address is https://kyrosmagica.wordpress.com/

She has started a club on Facebook to support bloggers and authors: https://www.facebook.com/bookloveteam/ To find out more about the club, and to join please contact me on my email.
